Walking down the street, you encounter a folded piece of paper on the sidewalk. You pick it up and read it and immediately, your life has changed. Describe this experience.
After the rainstorm we had yesterday, I decided to go out and take a long walk. It was a cold crisp day and the sun felt good upon my face. Walking allows me to feel clearer, more focused and it boosts my energy. It’s also a form of meditation for me. I can work through problems, come up with ideas for this blog, replay conversations, and perhaps think about something funny that happened earlier in the day.
What popped into my head was that we’re coming to the finish line of 2015 and what a year it’s been. There were major shifts that happened in my life this year such as my dad passing away in January. In the Spring, I was laid off from work. In the Summer, I put my house on the market and in the Fall decided to stay. A week ago, my son moved out from the house to be on his own. It was an emotional year for me but I’d press the reset button and remind myself to bring my energy, focus and power into the present time.
